Pacific Marine Circle Route - Options for Lunch

My husband and I will be doing a day trip along the Pacific Marine Circle Route in early April. We'll probably be leaving Victoria around 9:30 or 10:00am and heading up towards Duncan.

I'm wondering if we should just bring along picnic foods or if there is a recommended restaurant/eatery at which to eat along the way. Depending on how many times we stop, we could conceivably eat "lunch" in Duncan, Lake Cowichan, or Port Renfrew.

We don't necessarily want to stop for any longer than 30-45 minutes for lunch, so we'd be looking for something rather quick. We're also pescetarians (so no beef-, pork-, or chicken-centric places, though we don't mind eating where those meats are being served). If restaurants are a no-go, are there markets or road-side stands?

It's a lovely drive that I have done many times. But it certainly isn't a foodie mecca. I'd hit the Coastal Kitchen in Renfrew. Great fish and chips.

Thanks! I saw reviews for Coastal Kitchen but couldn't bring a up a menu, so I wasn't sure what the options were like.

Coastal Kitchen my suggestion as well. No markets or roadside stands.

In case we don't happen to be in Port Renfrew at lunchtime (i.e., spend too much time up-island on the way out), I did some digging yesterday here and on Yelp to find some more options. Looking for opinions on:

Duncan - Island Bagel Company, Riverwalk Cafe, Bistro 161

Lake Cowichan - Lake Cowichan Country Grocer

Alternatively, should we just reverse our route and go west first, then over to the east, to make sure we stop at Coastal Kitchen for lunch?
