Activities in Whistler for Daughter in Cast

WE will be in Whistler the 4th week in August. My daughter fractured her fibular and will now be fitted with a walking cast in a few days. I am looking for some activities for a 10-11 year old girl in Whislter who is wearing a cast.

After Whistler we are supposed to be going to the PNE - more walking...........

Can't help about a 10 yr old in Whistler. I'm just thinking that you might consider borrowing a pair of crutches from the Red Cross Equipment Loan (free) as back up for when she wants to give her leg a rest but keep going. They're usually adjustable because how they fit under the arms matters. 909 Fairfield Road. 250-382-2043

Welcome to the Whistler Forum

Oh, that's too bad. I did that a couple of times as an adult and I was intolerable, LOL. With a walking cast, I think she can do the Peak to Peak without a problem.

There are a couple of places that do art programs for kids, so you might look into those. A piece of pottery might be a nice shared activity and souvenir.

For something outdoorsy, look into paddling the River of Golden Dreams. It's fantastic and no walking!

I don't know if you think it's appropropriate for a 10 year old or whether it's the kind of thing either of your would enjoy, but a manicure at one of the spas or at Get Nailed in the Village might be another option?

They do a High Tea at the Chateau Whistler with Bubble Gum Tea for children.

She can always ride as a passenger on an ATV Tour. Or how about a Hummer Tour or Jet Boating Tour?

Thanks to all who gave info and advice - we had a great trip. As suggested, we did the ceramic painting which was fun, the peak to peak, a bit of shopping and since her cast is waterproof we took a few dips in the pool.

Thanks again
