Lodges close to village shops, restaurants, etc

Hello, it has been so long since I've been to Whistler. I'm looking at the Whistler accomodation map and I can't figure out where the shops, restaurants, etc.. are. Can someone give me a starting point? What are some of the accomodations right in the village? We want to be within walking distance of everything but a little further out so it's nice and quiet.

Thanks!

Hi Travelbug

I would suggest that you look at the Village North area (we generally stay at Northstar Stoney Creek). This development is on Northlands Boulevard, literally across the road from the main shopping and restaurant area, but just far enough not to be troubled by the parrty noise.

Although this area is five to ten minute walk from the Ski Lifts (depending on whether you are wearing ski boots!!) it is well served by the free shuttle.

Happy planning.

If you look at the right lower side of the page around the Fitzsimmons Express and the Whistler Gondola the area surrounding them is the area, it sound like you want to avoid staying in? If you look moving left, anything on the right edge of Village Gate Blvd. is still in the Village but quieter. Left of Village Gate Blvd you are firmly into the North Village.

If you look above of the parking lots, (marked with a P) you are looking at Blackcomb Mountain and the Upper Village.

Both the North and Upper Village are quieter and have good options that can get you to the Village by foot or shuttle.

It you point your mouse over the little dots, the name of the hotel will pop up. When you click, it will link to hotel info.

Here’s a general map. I think the areas you are trying to avoid staying in are along the Mountain Square, Village Stroll and Village Square?

Hope this is helps.

I'm liking the upper village area. Does anyone have a recommendation on a one bedroom? Has anyone stayed at the Aspens?
