Whistler August 20wks pregnant

We're currently living in Vancouver and are planning to go to Whistler for the long weekend (3-5 August). But will there be things for me to do considering I'll be 20 weeks pregnant? I've been feeling fine so far, hiking every weekend, and I'm not really showing, so 'bump' isn't an issue (yet).

Thank you.

Hi Marie here at Tourism Whistler

For obvious reasons most of the adventure based tours will be out - Ziptrek, Rafting, ATV etc etc. The tour companies for liability reasons will not accept you.

Lots of other things to do and all up to personal preference:

- Hiking - all the trails are now open on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain,

- Peak 2 Peak gondola

- Biking the valley trail

- Swimming and relaxing at one of the lakes

- Exploring Whistler Village - shops, art galleries

- Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre

Lots of events happening that weekend:

- Wanderlust Festival - Many of the concerts will be free and open to the public.

- Feast in the Mountains

- Canadian National BBQ Championships

- Farmers Market on Sunday

- Creekside Artisan Market

Thank you for your reply. I wouldn't have done any of the 'extreme' stuff even if I wasn't pregnant - that's not for me.

But it looks like we'll have plenty to do, either way! Can't wait.
