Ski-In/Ski-Out

Have never been to Whistler/Blackcomb and we are interested in coming the week after Christmas. Yes we know it'll be crowded but tight schedules don't allow us much flexibility.

We don't know a lot about Whistler (We usually board Colorado) so could someone recommend which area is best to stay in? We prefer ski-in/ski-out lodging and/or walking distance. Also, walking distance to town and restaurants would be a plus. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Have a read of the "Where should I stay in Whistler?" in the Top Questions.

You can walk from the bottom of the Village (Village North) to the gondolas in 10-15 minutes. It is very easy to get around and a car is not needed.

Another option is to stay in Creekside - 5 minutes drive south of Whistler Village. Lots of ski-in, ski-out accommodation in Creekside.

Here is map which shows the layout of the Village in relation to the lifts: whistler.com/pdf/maps/whistler-village-map-s…

Most ski in ski out is in the Upper village or near Skiers Plaza.

As you board, you'll want to spend most (but not all) of your time on Blackcomb...better fall lines for riders. Trick to Whistler is to get to the lifts early (e.g. 0830-900) before the 1030-1100 crush

You can also Ski – Ski - Out at Big White which is the second largest ski resort in BC next to Whistler and a lot less crowded which is located just east of Kelowna BC.

Here is a web site to check out other options
