You'll decide whether late winter in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia is for you. Most people would prefer to come between June and September.

However, all the tidal phenomena and scenery are here twelve months of the year. The motels are empty, but people still eat and shop. You might see snow (as you might in Kingston, Ontario) or you might see bright late winter days.

When I say bright late winter days, I mean sundown about 7:45 p.m. in late March, with usable twilight past 8:15. With Daylight Saving Time, the length of the evening light matches that in late summer.

Also, the departments of transportation here maintain the roads in winter. Even if you hit a late season snow storm, which is by no means out of the question, the roads will still be passable with caution, and at worst you'll be snowed in for 24 hours. A drive along a freshly plowed road in bright morning sunlight is a glorious thing!
