O'Rielleys is a George Street institution. They recently moved a few doors up George Street. There is almost aways a good band here, especially on weekends.

There is an Irish bar in the old O'Rielleys location as well.

Also Bride Molloys on George Street has good bands and cold beer.

There is a brewery pub supposed to be opening soon on the corner of George and Water Street (Yellow Belly Brewery), but construction seems to be delayed, and I havent herd when it should be open.

Hope this helps

Bridie Malloy's sound system can be brutally bad. Erin's isn't exactly 'high end' but can have some good music and has a genuine atmosphere.

The Ship and the Duke also have some good live music. Not so much Irish music as the befor mentioned places, but they are cozy pubs with live bands and good beer.

Just take a walk around dowtown when you arrive and explore. You'll find something that suits your interest for sure.

Hope this helps
