Hello, we are schedule to arrive tomorrow in Halifax. We forgot to plan for bad weather. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Go to Pier 21. It's a very, very intersting place draped in history.....especially if you of European decent and had family arrive in Canada via boat. Even if you don't you'll find it fascinating. It's Canada's version of Ellis Island.

Are you on a cruise ship with one day in Halifax or are you here for longer?

Halifax has lots of museums, galleries, pubs and restaurants. go the the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Pier 21 Museum, Citadel Hill Museum, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, etc. Take a Keith's Brewery tour. Visit the Seaport Farmer's Market.

The Harbour Hopper has a canopy and would still be fun.

Thank you all for your response, very much appreciated. We are not on a cruise, we are flying in Saturday morning and leaving for Montreal Monday night. We are planning to rent a car for one day and spend time mostly outdoors. I have noted all your suggestions of visits during the rainy period, it should be fun. For some reason, I never imagined or planned for bad weather but am glad to still have time to pack for the appropriate clothes. Thanks.

Sunday should be half decent weather-wise and Peggy's Cove is always good after a storm.
