I need a quick fix to my trip!!!!

Arriving late on Friday for essentially an 8 day (9 night) exploration of Nova Scotia. Will be laying our heads for 2 nights in Halifax and 2 nights in Lunenberg. The question is do we cross the country and explore Annapolis Royal ,Bay of Fundy and Wolfville OR is it worth the drive to go up to Cape Breton stay in Indian Brook and explore Cape Breton for 3-4 nights? We are adventuresome late 50's couple with a sparkle in our eyes and a quick gait who loves walking and dining and believes the more you do the more fun it is. So please help us make a decision before we leave Chicago

hi

i would not call driving for 2 hours from Lunenberg to Annapolis driving across the country..

if you do not want to drive to Cape Breton you should look at driving south with a night in Yarmouth then moving to Digby then to Wolfville and more time in Halifax before your flight home.

I was really referring to the longer drive to the cape and wondering if that was worth the investment in time.

I do not live in Cape Breton but I truly believe it is a wonderful place to visit. The Annapolis valley and Wolfville are great but not as different as Cape Breton.

You have time to go there.

However, it depends upon what you are interested in seeing and doing.

How cool! We're headed to Halifax Friday from Virginia for a 10 day stay.

With this being my first trip I can't personally represent what should or shouldn't be done.

But we are spending 1 night in Halifax, 1 night in Old Barns about 1 1/2 hours from Halifax (near Burntcoat Head Park to see the high/low tides) and the rest of the time traveling/staying through Cape Breton/Margaree/Pleasant Bay on the Cabot Trail.

Again, this is my first visit and feel compelled to spend time on the Cabot Trail.

I think you're missing a great scenic and historic opportunity if you don't at least try to catch part of the Trail.

That's just my opinion though.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your stay. If you encounter a 40-ish couple that looks totally lost and clueless but extremely happy...that's us!!
