Louisberg

Driving from Halifax before 3 nights in Cheticamp-(yes, I have other posts-trying to decide) We had considered Baddeck or Sydney-trying to see different parts of NS-after being in Yarmouth to Halifax. The fort at Louisberg and area looks interesting-Cranberry Inn as well any TA advice?

Thanks,

Casa

Hi CasaMurray,

The Fort at Louisbourg is a National Historic Site (managed by Parks Canada).... it is a great place to learn about important Canadian history... as well as its ties to America. Well worth a visit.

Wikipedia - Fortress of Louisbourg = en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortress_of_Louisbourg

Parks Canada - Fortress of Louisbourg = pc.gc.ca/eng/lhn-nhs/ns/louisbourg/index.aspx

Cheers!
