Saint John. No "s". Saint John.

If you are leaving from Halifax, it will not save you any time to drive to Digby and take the ferry. You can drive to Saint John in about 4 hours. And the ferry is expensive.

It would take you 2 and a half to 3 hours to drive from Halifax to Digby, plus waiting time plus crossing time of 3 or more hours. It will cost you 35 to 45 dollars per person and 80 to 90 dollars for the vehicle to board the ferry. As stated previously it is about a 4 hour drive from Halifax to Saint John. So, unless you intend to travel to the Annapolis Valley and Digby after Halifax, you will save time and money by just driving from Halifax to Saint John, then the border at St. Stephen/Calais.

hello, we are traveling from Boston, MA to NS. Our first stop is in the Spencer Island area Bay of Fundy. We are driving. should we drive and then take the St.John to Digby ferry or how do you suggest we go there? I looked into the Nova Star cruise but I think that is too expensive...didnt think the St. John to Digby ferry was too pricey. I am also thinking Nova Star 12 hours to cruise/ Digby cruise around 3 hours...please weigh in for me...going last week in July/1st week of August. thanks, Nance

Hi Nance:

You really need to start your own thread so I will answer this briefly but suggest you go here and click on the "Ask a Question" button: tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g154967-i326-Nova_S…

Tell us more about your plans and then ask your questions.

So if you are not going to the Digby area you will not save time by taking the ferry.
