Salmon fishing in Nova Scotia

I'm planning a long weekend fishing trip in late September near Halifax. Never been. Saw the Big Intervale Fishing Lodge on Trip Advisor, it looks nice. Any suggestions?

The Margaree area is the place to go. I would do a search (look below) or write to the Lodge to ask about the fishing. Here are the rules and regulations and a list of guides:

There is also another Inn very close that I have stayed on numerous occasions years ago which is fabulous The Normaway Inn. The food is excellent and the owner is from the area which makes such a difference.

If you are lucky to be there for one of the barn nights it is wonderful to listen and watch. the local music and dance.

It is a popular destination for fishing often have guides giving talks in the evenings. Just checked and reviews are stil excellent.
