Overnight layover Toronto. Hotel & restaurant suggestions?

Coming back from our honeymoon in St Lucia & Barbados we will fly into Toronto & fly out the next morning. Our flight won't get in until 8:45 PM.

Any suggestions for accommodations near the airport? Maybe something with a good bar/restaurant nearby? Doesn't have to be something pricey or nice, given the time our flight arrives we figure it'll be more like a bar that serves food BUT since we will be there & haven't been before I would just rather get something local, something I couldn't get at home, rather than just order pizza in our hotel room or something!!

You could try the Travelodge at the corner of Dixon Road and Carlingview.......it's not fancy , but it's reasonably priced, has shuttle service that should pick you up at the airport, has a restaurant attached and a bigger one next door, is across the street from a couple of other hotels(the Quality Suites on one corner, and the Marriott on the other) that also have their own restaurants, and even walking distance of a couple more bars/restaurants on Carlingview Drive................in all honesty though, there are countless hotels around Pearson Airport (YYZ) and most of them are decent......

Missed edit time..............if you arrive after hours,, there is a sports bar on Carlingview Dr, a few minutes walk from any of the hotels I've mentioned in my first post......it's called the Arizona B-Bar and Grill, and is open late night......a few klm's further down Dixon Rd (and further from the Airport) the Doubletree by Hilton is a good hotel, with it's a restaurant on premises, and across the street from a small food court with about a half dozen choices...

Just in case you get delayed and don't get out of the airport until very late there is a 24 hour diner called "Zets" on Airport Road. It probably wouldn't be more than a few dollars cab ride from the airport....maybe less depending on which hotel you choose. Excellent old style greasy spoon/diner with the usual assortment of all day breakfasts, great burgers, Soups, souvlaki, gyro, steak sandwiches, greek salad etc... The food is quite good. Web link provided below....

Arizona's is a good choice if you get in on time. The kitchen is actually open until 2am so you should have no problem getting food. Here is their website...
