Cheap motel/hotel in Toronto

Hi! I am going to Toronto mid-April for a concert at the sound academy, I plan on taking the train to Toronto then a subway and a bus to the venue. The train does not leave again until the next morning so I need somewhere to stay in that area. Can someone please help me find a cheap ($30-$50) hotel or motel in that area?? I am not from Toronto so I do not know what is around or where things are. I only need the hotel/motel room to sleep then leave at 7am the next morning. Please help me out!! Thanks a bunch!

Welcome to TripAdvisor, saurflower;

The Sound Academy is located downtown. Even in the suburbs, you would have a hard time finding a decent hotel in the $30-$50 price range.

You'll probably need to triple your budget.

If your budget is $30-$50, you need to look for a hostel bunk, not a hotel or motel. I believe Hostelling International has a hostel at Church and Adelaide (see www.hostellingtoronto.com/2/home.hostel ), which might be your best bet for going to Sound Academy.

Note, you should probably fix your profile locator, it says you're from Toronto which you're not.

I don't know how far where your staying is but would a cab ride home be cheaper then a hotel for the night?
