driving in toronto

HI, we are planning a trip next year. I was just thinkning of breaking up the filght to Edmonton with an overnight stay in Niagra ( we are coming from Uk)But as there is plenty to see and do I thought we may extend this to 1 week. If we sayed in a hotel near the airport is it possible to visit CN tower, Niagra Falls and Wonderland easily by public transport ( and is this a fairly cheap) or should we hire a car.

The problem with car hire is that we are not used to 3 lanes of hectic traffic, what are the roads like for driving?

Also if anyone has done the treck from Edmonton to Jasper what is the Yellowhead highway like to drive,

taking public transit from the airport area is time consuming. ~1.5 hrs each way to downtown, or to connect to other buses to Niagara Falls. Connection to the bus to Wonderdand maybe 45 minutes.

Bad idea, Chocolatemoose.

Public transport from the airport area is bad. There's a convenient express bus from the airport to the subway, but that's the only minimally acceptable route downtown. It is possible to visit Niagara Falls without renting a car, but you're much better off staying downtown, near the train station.

As for Wonderland, forget it. It's a long bus ride from the subway, and it it seems even that bus runs only on weekends.
