Which boat crusie is recommended???

Planning to take family for a boat cruise of 1000 islands, but have heard the Gananoque is better then Cruise out of Kingston....

Am not looking for fancy stuff like music or food but main pint to see nature and if possible walk on couple of islands...

Thanks in advance

Gananoque is closer to the islands than Kingston, so better to take the cruise from there.

Note - if you want to do the Boldt Castle one, you'll need your passport, as the Castle is on the US side of the river.

You're welcome! I also should have noted that most of the islands are privately owned with summer homes on them, so I doubt any of the cruises actually stop and let you walk around ... other than the Boldt Castle one.

Just took the 2 1/2 hor cruise from gananoque it was really lovely and we saw bolt island really well. Didn't do the 5 hour cruise as we didn't want to bother with visas and passports and we were pleased with our decision.

A must do though if you have time is the evening dinner cruise from Kingston on the glass roofed boat. The food was good and the entertainer very amusing for young and old and he was a good singer , luckily for us we had a lovely evening and the sunset was wonderful too.
