Well, read their review and wow, seriously? Ok first off, "You’ll see double-decker buses".... ok I have lived here entire life and haven't seen a double decker bus in over 20 years, LOL........ "and even the River Thames".... you mean Thames River? Really? That brown polluted river is actually an attraction? And then "Attractions like Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Banting House and Eldon House will captivate history buffs"..... well sure those are visited by maybe school tours, LOL. And finally they add "a tour of the Labatt Brewery"... tour? I don't know a single person who has taken a tour of the brewery, lol....

so much better things to do in London... when I look at the trip advisor Things To Do it's pretty pathetic, need's alot of additions. If those got us into the top 25, then I'm sure we could make top 15 easily with better attractions listed.

The double decker bus is still around and offers tours throughout the summer season. It's a great ride for visitors to the city as it gives them a tour of the city and I think it stops at Storybook Gardens (at least it once did). I've spent many a lazy afternoon reading a book by the Thames or walking through Springbank Park along the banks. People still fish in the river (can't say I'd eat what they catch mind you!). Yes, I would consider it a place to go...whether in the park or at the Forks or just riding the bike trails through Greenway.

BoNeSaW...what you or I might not think of as attractions...and sometimes we are jaded because we see them every day...can be wonderful experiences for all sorts of visitors and newcomers to the city. We have a ton of history here to be proud of.

The bigger question is how Windsor was rated higher than London - must be the casino!

Hi All,

These TripAdvisor "BEST OF" Lists have been covered on various TA FORUMS countless times before... it is all about VOLUME... so how much Traffic a particular Destination sees (which makes it a BEST Destination on TA)... so clicks, FORUM Posts, REVIEW Posts, whatever the current formula that TA is using to calculate.

Plain simple... that is it, that is all folks !!

Cheers!

PS... As BJSABINA has noted... that is probably indeed how Windsor, Ontario ranked higher... Questions about the Border Crossing, Casino etc.
