Thoughts on Days Inn & Suites (Center St. Niagara Falls, ON)

Hi,

I just reserved a two-room suite for our vacation in June. Although, Days Inn website says that the hotel is within walking distance to the Falls, it looks like it is a LONG walk when I checked Google Maps. Any thoughts on this and the hotel itself?

Thanks in advance.

The hotel is a block from the top of Clifton Hill. Clifton Hill is 2 blocks long and ends at the Niagara parkway, right across from the American Falls, and at the Maid of the Mist Plaza. The Horseshoe Falls is about 1/2 mile farther, through Queen Victoria Park. The entire route is filled with sights and sounds, so you probably won't even notice that you have walked a mile.

The hotel receives good reviews on here and is slightly away from the main hubub, so it's a little quieter. It is also located right beside the Greg Frewin Theater.

Just stayed there three weeks ago and the walk like said before didn't seem that long since kept stopping & looking at stores & the sights.

The room was clean & nice but we were only there one night so didn't use pool or anything.

Just be aware that at the end of your walk will be an UPHILL trek up Clifton Hill. So take a break-have a cup of coffee or a coke, and divide the walk into several parts, and by all means do it leisurely

You can also get up the hill via the Incline Railway at the Fallsview District. Your return route will take you past the Fallsview Casino, Skylon Tower and Imax Theater.

We stayed there last July-2 adults and 2 kids, 9 and 11. None of us thought it was a long walk. We arrived, parked the car, and never used it again until we left. As previously mentioned, plenty to see on the walk and many different routes. I had also booked about a year ago and then kind of panicked when I looked at a map-the maps make it seem much further away. It is a fabulous location and a wonderful hotel. We had a room with a king bed, sofa sleeper and hot tub, small fridge and microwave and it is one of the nicer rooms I have stayed at in a chain hotel. The pool was very nice-not huge but it was never crowded. The breakfast was a nice bonus, adequate for my family, and was a major selling point along with the free parking. We found the staff to be very helpful as well and would stay here again.

Hi!

Hadn't checked the messages in days...thanks to all of you for your feedback. Comforting to know that I didn't commit a big blunder...I had read the reviews about the hotel here before I booked but panicked after I checked the map, post booking. Anyway, thanks again.

Cheers,

S
