IN Niagara Falls for one day by VIA rail

Hi there

We will be in Niagara Falls for 1 day in May....How far are all the attractions..IE Maid of the mist...Skywheel...Ribley's believe it or not ..wax museum. We will be arriving at the VIA RAIl train station in Niagara Falls and won't have a car. How should we get to the attractions...Any ideas would be great.. THANKS:)

You'll want to take a taxi ($8-$10) to Clifton Hill. From there, the rest are within blocks of each other. A car would only be a hindrance.

Tell your cab driver to take River Road into Queen Victoria Park and let you off at the foot of Clifton Hill.

Thats right near the Maid of the Mist area and close to The attractions you seek.

Don't worry about calling a cab. They'll be parked out in front of the train station.

If you are physically fit; you can actually have a nice walk from the Bridge Street Station, to River Road at the bottom of Bridge Street.

Then turn right and walk along the Stone Wall that overlooks the Niagara River.

You'll pass private homes and Bed and Breakfasts and have a great view of the River and Gorge as you walk the 2 miles to the Park and Falls area.

Thanks for visiting

Further to franklinda's reply, if you turn left on River Road at the end of Bridge Street, you will be at the White Water Walk attraction. Even if you aren't interested in this, it is a People Mover station where you could buy a day pass ($7.50)and take the bus right to the Falls and Clifton Hill areas. Likewise, you could take it back to White Water for your return trip.
