Lunch buffet at the Sheraton on Fallsview dr. Was there last summer and it was done very nice-all you can eat. Price was like $16 for 1 adult but on the hotel web site you could print coupons for like $12.99 for each adult. Not sure how much kids were.

A Cut Above Steak House was the name--its open for dinner too. No buffet and much higher prices.

BTW on the 3rd floor theres a look out area that goes outside, not many people were out there-most times none-because like its not know and is out of the way. Great views thou.

Don't know, never tried it. I had room severs or ate light.

I do know the lunch was much better than I thought it be. They even had a desert bar, fancy cakes, brownies, cookies and they like melted in your mouth.

Think many folks from NY city stay there--same with even from Japan, the hotel must have some top rated chiefs doing the cooking.

The whole hotel was so nice. Even the hallways are A/C. Stayed for 3 nights back in early Sept. last year, forgot to turn my A/C on once and the maid must have set it to 72. That was nice being it was almost 90 outside.

I stayed at the Marriott across the street back last June-got a good rate off Hotwire--it was nice but the Sheraton was much nicer I thought. Now I also stayed at the Sheraton in Toronto on Queen st. Nice hotel but not as nice as the FallView in the Falls.

Now this was last year keep in mind.

Hmmm, looking at the hotel web site, I don't even see the Cut Above Steak House...theres a Fallsview Restaurant and some Lounges and Cafes.

Maybe they changed it around???? Maybe theres just breakfast buffets and no lunch now.

Sometimes things are too good to be true, lol.

Once in town you could call or stop over and ask what happen. I am planing on going back late this summer.

If you have a car drive down Lundy's Lane..once in town theres fast food joints that have better-still a bit high-prices. Poppyees chicken is one of my picks, theres McD's and other places too.

By the Falls everything is high...oh there is Tony's Rommo's, ribs and chicken, theres 2 places, 1 by the Sheraton on Fallsview--I belive and another 1 on Lundy's Lane, just past a Day's Inn heading out of town around the bend.

All those places have fair prices for a tourist town. Stay away from places right by Cfilton Hill.

My spelling may be wrong but you should understand.

I like visiting the NY state park-only thing good on that side besides the gas station. You can walk right up to the edge of the Falls. I like going on both sides of the border. Customs are more friendly seems over there, I zip right across unlike the Detroit side.

We will have our van but was only planning on driving when we go to Toronto for the ballgame on Sunday. Any good but cheap eating places around the falls? We are staying at Comfort Inn fallsview. Not sure why they call it that if you dont have a view of the falls, lol. At least that is what someone told me.

About how long does it take to cross the border on a Saturday afternoon or a Monday morning?

Fallview st does still have a good view of the falls but at the very end...by the Marriott and Sheraton hotels.

The whole street at one time had a great view but I guess the hotels and casino block the view now from the street.

Good luck on finding cheap eats without driving. The town isn't too big, keep an open mind about driving. Traffic does move slow thou.

I tell you, right thou there is where all the family's with kids go and I never seen anything cheap. Even the pop machines were $2 a can.

Just a wild guess but I believe weekends at the NY border are very busy with people from Toronto going shopping in the USA with their strond CA dollar but I found with the border you never can tell what happen. You can even walk across the Rainbow Bridge and the state park is right there but if your kids are young its too much--remember you need to walk back too--don't forget your passports.
