parking at the embassy

hi all

i'm going to be staying at the embassy in february, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or info regarding parking. i assume they charge for it? i've read a couple of disappointing comments about the speed of the valet parking, but this won't worry me too much as i really don't feel the need for someone to collect or park my car. does anyone know if there are alternative parking options nearby if the embassy parking itself is only valet or just overly priced?

thanks :-)

At the Embassy you MUST pay the $20 CDN per day valet parking. There is no self-parking. If you won't be using your car that much and don't have that much luggage (drop your luggage off and then park your car) you could park at the CAsino for FREE with a Players Advantage Card. It is about a 3 minute walk.

almost every hotel you have to pay for parking in Niagara, valet or not. The Holiday Inn By the Falls (not AT the Falls)is near by most things & you may not have to pay for parking there.

Parking at all the Fallsview Hotels is generally $20CDN/nite for valet service- Embassy includes. Most of the new hotels don't offer self parking because it is either underground on sight, or a few blocks away from the hotel since when the hotels went up the parking disappeared.

If you're feeling adventureous, you can go the 2min walk over to the Fallsview Casino, get a PAC card (free, just need your ID), and park over in their garage. You just need to show your PAC card on leaving. HOWEVER, but sure it IS free parking for PAC members, because a lot of times during the summer they don't offer it because why would they when they can be making money, lol. If you're going to pay for it at the fallsview, you might as well pay for it at the Embassy and have someone get it for you ;)

Traceylynne - so what is the best deal with parking? I'm going this Saturday and still debating on what to do about parking. Thanks

So, it's not a problem with the casino if you really aren't there and you just park there? I'm not wanting to be in Canada and end up having my car towed or something. I guess you can see I probably worry too much about the little things.

Thanks

I've never heard of that happening before but if you're that worried you can always just park at the Embassy and pay the $20CDN/nt ;)
