Best place to park??

Hello

We are staying the Fallsview Casino in September and was wondering where is the best place to park?

Thanks!

If you're staying at the Fallsview Casino Hotel then the Fallsview Casino parking garage is by far the most convenient and least expensive option for parking. Be sure to sign up for the Player's Advantage Club card for free parking. They also offer valet parking at the front door for a fee.

Hi MrsKGamblin,

Welcome to the NIAGARA FALLS TRAVEL FORUM

If you are staying at the Fallsview Casino Hotel... then parking on site would be your best choice (most convenient... and known to be a good value)

FREE PARKING is a rare commodity in Niagara Falls anywhere around The Falls... even at your Hotel / Casino. You can certainly improve "your odds" IF you sign up for a Player's Card AND gamble... by all accounts those Travellers who pay the least for their Parking, do a bit of gambling immediately before they head to the Parking Garage for an exit.

Cheers!

Hi

Many thanks for your replies.

I looked at getting a players advantage card but to me it looks like you have to get it in person? If that's true, I guess you pay for parking when you leave??

We are not expecting free parking just don't want to get ripped off!

Thanks

Hi MrsKGamblin,

<< I looked at getting a players advantage card but to me it looks like you have to get it in person? If that's true, I guess you pay for parking when you leave?? >>

Hmmm, not sure what this means...

YES you have to get the card in person... you go to the Customer Service area and register for a Players Card... you have to present ID (like a Drivers License) and they record that info in their database. And the Players Card tracks your gambling (a feature that some folks don't actually like)... the fact that the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Commision... ie the Government has records of this type of info... so many people choose not to register for such an "advantage card".

On the other hand... the card does provide some perks to those who frequent the Casino... including FREE or Reduced Rates for Parking.

If you don't have a Players Card... or not enough accummulated points then you will pay for parking.

<< We are note expecting free parking just don't want to get ripped off! >>

The Casinos do offer some of the cheapest parking in NF... and if you are staying at the Hotel right there... then parking there makes sense... and if you don't have an issue with using a Players Card... then there is the opportunity to also save money on parking. (Just make sure you gamble a bit before you decide to take the car out the garage).

Hope this is helpful,

Cheers!

Just a note about parking at Fallsview Casino.

The exit gates from the garage are generally unmanned. In order to exit, you MUST have either a Players Card which has earned free parking, or a token from the machine at the elevators entrance on the main floor. There are signs all over telling people this, but it is still very common to see a car stuck sitting at a gate, with others cars behind it so no where to go (I've never waited around long enough to see what eventualy happens in these cases, but I have seen many cars trying to back out of stuck lanes), Unfortunately, the only way to know if you have free parking is to have your card checked at the Players Advantage desk inside the casino.

Also note that the parking rate is not a daily rate, but rather an exit fee. Whether you are parked for an hour or a week, it will still be the same rate (free to $20) to exit.

Is this still true that it is an exit fee? What I have found poking around makes it sound like its per day.

We will be staying for 5 days at the Marriott Gateway on the Falls, so the casino is right around the corner. Does your comment mean I will be paying somewhere from $0-$20 total for the whole 5 days? (we will have 2 cars, one just left at the casino the whole time, and one we will keep at the hotel)

Yes; it's true. They have no way of telling how long your car has been parked and for all they know you're gambling and shopping and sleeping in the complex for your entire stay.

When I called the Casino they explained that parking is $10 for 24 hour period. They made no mention of a player's card. Will I be stuck getting out without a player's card?

Hi rudy1122;

I would suggest reading my esteemed colleague fallsdude's reply, #5 above, which explains the exit procedure.

Best Regards

What is the fee for the parking token?
