My wife, daughter and I headed out for our 1st visit to Niagara Falls. We arrived at the Wyndham Garden Hotel At about 3 PM after an 7 1/2- 8 hr. drive from just south of Chicago. We were very impressed with the look of the hotel. We checked in and we were given a top floor room facing the Falls and Clifton Hill area.We could not see the Falls but we knew that going in.
We unpacked and headed out to look for something to eat.We ended up at Brassas Brazilian Steakhouse. Kind of pricey, but we all loved it. There was no shortage of food here. After stuffing ourselves we headed back to the hotel to watch the guy walk the tightrope between the Skylon Tower and the hotel next to us. It was pretty impressive. He was right outside our window. Shortly after that we all got ready for bed to get rested for the next day.
Woke up very early on Friday morning, got a quick workout in and woke the family up. We really had no clue of the layout to Niagara. I have read this forum for the last month or 2,but until you get there you really have no idea.
We headed to the Perkins Restaurant in the hotel for breakfast, not that great, but it did the trick. We asked the waiter how to get to the Falls area and he gave us the directions. We were there in about 15 minutes, and all I can say is WOW. We were all very impressed with the size, power and sound of the Falls. We bought our Adventure Pass and did the Journey Behind the Falls,Niagaras Fury,Maid of the Mist and the White Water Walk. Also included in the Pass was 2 days of the WEGO Bus which we used just a couple of times. We walked just about everywhere we went.Anyway, back to the Adventure Pass.I am going to say it again....WOW. You can look at all the pictures you want to,but until you see it and experience it you just have no clue.
I have to go now,but I will post more tomorrow.
