Any hotels with observation decks?

I cannot afford a room with a falls view. Obviously, I will walk and see the falls, but are there any hotels that have an observation deck--that may help me to decide which hotel to book with other factors being equal at the hotels

Hi jaxhopper;

Sorry...I've never heard of a hotel in Niagara Falls that has an observation deck.

To help you put things into perspective, here is an interactive map of Niagara Falls Canada.

niagarafallslive.com/Niagara_Falls_Interacti…

The view is facing the US side, with the Fallsview area on the right side, and Clifton Hill on the upper left. Click on a building, and a new page will open with a description and details.

I hope that helps.

Best Regards

I know of two hotels that at least had observation decks a couple of years back, they might be still open-least one I would guess.

One hotel is the Sheraton--on the Falls ? its the one right next to the Rainbow bridge and the Crowne Plaza hotel and Casino niagara. Its in the restaurant, 13 th floor ? I used to go there for the lunch buffet and way over to the south theres a small platform/deck a few people at a time can walk on..kind of scary being so high up.

The Sheraton that used to be on Fallsview dr that is now the Marriott Gateway had a nice large outdoor area on the 3rd floor and if that is no longer there or only for hotel guest then just go right to the south on Fallsview dr and the view is pretty awesome from there.

When I stayed at that old Sheraton the room floors up to around the 17th floor had large windows on each floor near the elevators. So you could look at the falls while waiting for the lift.

Hope that helps, maybe I try to see if they are still all open the next day or two.

The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls has an observation area on the 14th floor for those that book rooms without a view. That same area at the Oakes is also available to guests of the Days Inn - Fallsview just down the street. The Tower Hotel has an excellent observation floor for guests that do not book a Falls view room.
