Train to Niagra from Toronto

I will be visiting Toronto next week and am considering taking the train to Nigra. Is this a good way to get there? How far is the train station from the falls? I am planning to take the first morning train there and the last back to Toronto. Is it easy to get around without having a car. Thanks for advice.

Good idea cnn73. The train is the most pleasant way to get to and from Niagara Falls. If you want just a bit more flexability you could also go by bus (Greyhound or Coach Canada) as there are many more trips per day. The train and bus station in Niagara Falls are close together. They are just a bit beyond comfortable walking distance to the falls themselves but you could take a short cab ride or a Niagara Falls city bus to the falls. Much of what you might like to see you can wander around and see on foot. Another great option once you get to the falls is to buy a PeopleMover ticket which lets you ride around all day on a vehicle which shuttles among most of the major Niagara Falls attractions.

Have a great visit.
