Which hotel?

Hi my husband (27) and I (24) are planning to stay overnight March 17 on the canadian side of the Falls.

We have narrowed it down to a few hotels but need help deciding.

We wont have a car so want easy access/walking to main attractions

Main priority is a great view of the falls.

Here are my current choices: any other recommendations welcomed :)

Radisson Hotel and suites falls view

King room with Spa Bath and Falls View for A$184,free cancellation

Niagara Falls Marriott Falls view Hotel and Spa

King room with Spa Bath and falls view for A$223 with free cancellation

Embassy Suites

Queen Suite, two queen bed, falls view A$218 with free cancellation

Thanks!

They're all within 100 meters of each other, very close to Fallsview Casino. The Radisson is actually behind the Marriott, so can't offer the views that the other 2 can. All are located close to the Incline Railway which takes you down into Queen Victoria Park at Table Rock Centre and the brink of the Horseshoe Falls.

The Embassy and Marriott are almost side by side, right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Falls, so offer virtually the same view. The Embassy rate will include a buffett/made to order breakfast and manager reception (drinks and snacks), which adds to the value there. Either of those 2 would be a good choice.

BTW, you do realize that at that time of year, many of the water based attractions are closed for the winter - Maid of the Mist/Hornblower, White Water Walk, Whirlpool Aerocar, Whirlpool Jetboat.. And it will still be on the cold side with snow still around, so walking may be somewhat uncomfortable. You can always use the WEGO buses to get around.

Have stayed at the Embassy and the Marriott recently. The staff at the Embassy were friendlier than the staff at the Marriott. The Embassy seems more family oriented to me and the Marriott more romantic. For a young couple I would recommend the Marriott.

I'd book the embassy (free breakie!) and then look for groupon, living social and travelzoo deals. If/when you find a cheaper deal, the free cancellation will come in quite handy.

In March there should be deals to be had.

I agree with Sam that you should be able to get a better deal if you watch out for one but hadn't thought of booking to be safe then searching for the deal. I just booked Embassy last week for a Tuesday night stay one week out for $110 with some extras, not a fallsview room but they have given us upgrades in the past for not too much extra.

Another vote for the Marriott, as it was said, its geared for couples not families.

The prices reflect it, the more expensive you go, the nicer the hotels are, IMO. That is not always the case but for these 3 hotels, I say its priced right.

fallsdude- thanks, yes unfortunately we miss out on those attractions but this is the only the we could travel over and wouldn't want to miss it!

and thanks for everyones input :) Im so excited!

Yeah I am leaning more towards the marriott at this stage but i noticed there were two- gateway and falls view.

Is one better than the other, prices are similar?

Thanks

The Gateway is kind of behind and down the street from the Spa Hotel so the view won't be as nice.
