I would not cab it to NF from Toronto, I'd look at gotransit.com and viarail.ca for transit options...

May I suggest a couple days at Blue Mountain, Collingwood?

As far as I know, Blue Mountain Inn runs a daily shuttle from Toronto airport. I'm not sure of the cost.

The Inn has a few parties planned for new years, as well as fireworks. Even if you don't ski or snowboard there is plenty to do in Collingwood to give you a true Canadian winter experience. There are groomed snowshoeing trails, family dogsledding, winter caving, and to top it all off, a Nordic spa. You can rent a suite with a fireplace, very cozy! Actually, I think I'm talking myself into going!

Whatever you decide, have fun!

Niagara Airbus is a well known reliable form of transport from Airport to Niagara Falls and back to airport.

Check their web site for details.

Probably about 200 dollars for 4 people return.

You'll arrive in time for the Winter Festival of Lights and the huge New Years Eve gala with top notch entertainment (to be announced) and fireworks over the Falls. It's an outdoor show that attracts thousands of people so dress warmly.

We have two Casinos; Fallsview Hotels; The Journey Behind the Falls attraction; Butterfly Conservatory; and much much more.

Hi Dazzor70;

FYI...Niagara Falls is approx. 80 miles / 130 km southwest of Toronto. The average drive is about 1½ hours, without any traffic delays.

Best Regards

Geez; an exciting visit to iconic Niagara Falls, or go up North in the dead of Winter to a ski/dogsled area where the main feature is no black flies. Hmmmm!

Difficult choice here on the Niagara Falls Canada forum.
