I nee help with hotels

I am trying to surprise my husband for his 50th and I am going nuts trying to find a hotel and user reviews are driving me crazy. I dont have much money to work with. What does anyone think of the chalet inn or the cascade inn. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I strongly reccommend niagarafamilyinn.com Cheap, Clean and close to everything. Its run by a great family, there is also a restaurant attached, awesome food.

Thanks for the help I am sort of leaning toward the Diplomat. But I came across the Vacation Inn, has anyone heard of that one. Hate to be a pain.

I am looking at a weekend early Oct. Diplomat or Vacation Inn sounded alright. I would like a deal with dinner and breakfast. I could probably handle 300.00 and that is pushing it.

Try the courtyard by Marriott...the prices go down aftr the end of September....The 2 night packages include all you can eat breakfast buffet..and a $40.00CDN voucher towards the dinner....What we do to help witht he costs, is to go to the local grocery store and stock up on drinks and munchies....Everything is more expensive in Niagara Falls.

Don't stay at the Marriott at the Falls. Very expensive. We stayed in May and got charged 40% exchange on our dining when the exchange was about 15%. Management did nothing to help us .

Also casino on US side will give you free drinks when you gamble and it's a very nice casino. You might want to check out their hotel rates also.

You can do a 2 night package at the Days Inn Clifton Hill Casino 1 block to the falls and across from Casino Niagara for $299 includes full hot breakfast both mornings and a prime rib dinner for 2 at Remingtons on Niagara. Also a 90 min sight seeing tour comes witht he package. This is for Oct 7th and 8th which is the first weekend in October. The same package the following weekend Oct 14 & 15th is only $219CND. This is a great value and a fantastic location :) Hope this helps.
