Hi

Coming from Carribean to Toronto on Sun and not used to cold and not have that much warm clothes as on extended travel. What would you suggest to do and where to stay (area and/or accommodation) in the 3 full days to see and do considering this time of year withmy limitations in clothing and budget traveller (3* hotel etc) i.e. can't taxi everywhere.

Thanks so much sorry not much notice-.

Define budget traveler... we need a budget range in CAD$$ for suggestions. have you checked under the green hotels tab at top of this page? Also check the Top Questions on the right-hand side of this page - not viewable on a mobile device.

Anywhere on a subway line would be the most efficient .

HI

Thanks for your suggestions. Budget - about 80-110CAD p/night for 5 nights. You've given me plenty to look through with the blurbs on the RHS.. If you can top of the head suggest one pretty near Union Square (5 min walk).

Not sure if what I'm thinking of going to will assist choice i.e. CN tower, museum, the art gallery, some restaurants (healthy e.g. raw food) as leaving that finalise later. Will be too cold or me to do the parks and more nature sightseeing rips unfortunately.

Any suggestions would be appreciated- flying there tomorrow!

If your $110/ day budget includes food and accommodation you won't find much you can afford to do.

You might be surprised about the weather, it was quite comfortable today outside. You will be ok with a light jacket or sweater.

Temps this week are forecast to range from a high of 15C to a low of 10C during the day ... temps at night could go down as low as 5C. That's not cold to us ... as long as you have long-sleeved shirts, sweater and jacket you should be fine.

There is no Union Square in Toronto - perhaps you mean Union Station. You could check on sites such as expedia, trivago, booking.com,, etc., but in general your budget is extremely low. Perhaps a hostel or B&B - there are a few downtown. As noted, check under the hotels tab at to of page - there are separate listings for B&B's and specialty lodging.

how cold do you think spring in Canada will be? Certainly it won't be frigid. And there is no snow here.

You won't find a hotel room near Union Station for anywhere near your budget, a quick search found the cheapest at 1/2 km away at $160/ night, plus taxes.

HI

Thanks for help. I've been travelling for a bit and have got some experience at locating last minutes offers from booking agents for accommodation that are prepared to offer same as otherwise room empty. THis is from Asia. YOu need to book with in the day before i.e. the immediate 24 hrs and yes no refunds. It's different to how hotwire and the like work. Having said that understand from your advice that Toronto's expensive so will plan accordingly - many B& Bs etc are just fine.

Go to a used clothing store or thrift shop.
