Great news - see you booked with Canadian Affair in the end lol.

I'm off to Toronto/Niagara next week with Canadian Affair so will let you know how I get on, taking an 11 year old too! Did you go for the Thomas Cook flights, as they have extra legroom (35") as standard?

Hello there

Canada's wonderland does not open until the 3rd weekend in May, but you might want to take your family to the ontario science center. If you are not renting a car you can get a bus from toronto to Niagara falls. A good hotel in Niagara Falls is the Courtyard by Marriott.

There website is www.nfcourtyard.com. Very clean, good rates. In-door and outdoor pools. Although the outdoor one might be closed. They also have a shuttle to the falls. i don't know if Marineland will be open yet though. If you stay in niagara falls, please be aware that the prices are about 1/3 more than those in Toronto.

When we go we try to get to the little known main street(way off the tourist area ) for cheaper meals.

Cheers Tracy

I emailed Wonderland and they did tell me they were open at weekends in May. Sounds like they forgot to mention the fact that its the end of May!!!! My kids will be disappointed but there is still lots to do to keep them and me happy.

Thanks Tracey

i emailed Paramount and they did tell me they'd be open at weekends in May. Looks like they forgot to tell me its the end of May!!! Kids will be disappointed but there's plenty to amuse them and me in the City. Intend to do a tour to Niagra and not stay down their, but will check the hotel anyway, just in case.

Just booked some accomodation with Globespan who specialise in Canadian hotels etc. Got the Sheraton on the Falls for 34 GBP per night for a couple of weeks time. May be worth giving them a ring for next year.

You can also get the train down to Niagara from Toronto if you are not renting a car. via rail website is quite good.

Chadwell

I stayed at the Sheraton on the Falls, Niagara, and only paid about GBP38.00 per room per night, through Canadian Affair. The hotel was very good, our room had fantastic views of both Falls (nearer to American Falls however). I'd recommend you get onto www.starwood.com and register for free as a Starwood Preferred Guest, as then you'll be eligible to stay on the 16th Floor which is their Starwood Preferred Guest floor.

The higher floors (above 14 I think) are in better condition I believe, with obviously better views. I would email them with your new membership number requesting a 16th floor Falls view room.

The Penthouse restaurant on the 14th floor is great for breakfast, only CAN$20 adult and CAN$8.99 children and it was a buffet (not the best tasting food, but a good selection and good value) including fresh juices, hot chocolate and coffee/tea - and of course great views!

Enjoy!
