Besides Via Rail are there other ways to get to Stratford? I am arriving on a Thursday - landing at City Centre airport.
Thanks in advance
Another option would be taking a Greyhound bus.
Welcome to the TORONTO TRAVEL FORUM.
Via Rail is the primary provider of public transit to Stratford, and the easiest to access… Greyhound provides Bus Service… Toronto to Kitchener… and then Kitchener to Stratford.

If you are landing at the Toronto Island Airport... using Via Rail is easy... the Porter Shuttle will bring you to the Fairmont Royal York which is right across the street from Union Station.
PS… You may want to also post this Question in the STRATFORD TRAVEL FORUM… as it “might” be seen by a couple of local TA Members that live in the area (they don`t post every day, but do seem to check in from time-to-time) and I know they have a history of providing good info in the past for the area… so you might get some worthwhile TRAVEL TIPS from them.
Having done it both ways I really vote for the train!
You could also rent a car, which would likely mean an earlier arrival in Stratford (since you wouldn't be waiting for a train or bus, both of which are fairly infrequent), and allow you a little more flexibility for getting around Stratford and Perth County.
I would think most car rentals in TO would be happy to pick you up at the Billy Bishop Airport, and drive you back to their rental office where you could pick up a rental car.Edited: 28 March 2011, 20:00
There is a local service between Pearson Airport and Stratford, the Stratford Airporter, http://www.stratfordairporter.com/index.php. But that means you have to get up to YYZ. It's about 1.75 hours between YYZ and Stratford this way.
For what it's worth, there is also an airport in London, Ontario, in case you wanted to fly into there and travel the hour trip to Stratford from that direction.
