Auberge du Pommier

Do anyone know whether the outside of Auberge du Pommier has a garden? I read that it has a patio. Is it quaint? I want to take one of my best girlfriend to a nice birthday lunch. It's a milestone birthday, and it should be celebrated finely. Or do you have any recommendations for a restaurant with a beautiful setting, great ambiance, and good food. We're headed to Toronto mid August, so the weather should be nice to be out dining in a patio.

The Auberge is indeed a very pretty restaurant, and their outdoor patio is quite lovely. If you look at their website, you will see a partial view of it in their photo gallery section:

Just so you are aware, the restaurant is not in the downtown core of the city - it is considerably north of the downtown (but still in the city). Easily accessible by driving or subway (in case you decide to REALLY celebrate!).

Enjoy!

One of my personal favourite restaurants, one of the city's finest. I hear Caren's on Yorkville is also outstanding, http://www.carenswineandcheese.com/. Consider Panorama (not sure if they're open for lunch) up high atop the Manulife Building at Bay & Bloor.

If you want to do celebrity watching and also have a great patio, try this one also in Yorkville:
