Six of us met in Toronto and spent two days..stayed at the Delta Chelsea which we got thru Priceline for $95 each room. Have stayed here before and love the location. The hotel amenities are fine too.
First day we went to Fran's for lunch..good food and good prices. The to the Bata Shoe Museum which is really more interesting than we expected - you can get a 2 for 1 admission on their website. Then a quick trip down to the Distillery District. It was a weekday and not much going on but we were able to see a few shops and stop for great hot chocolate and some fabulous chocolates at Soma Chocolatemaker. In the evening we went to the Sultan's Tent which was fun, if a bit kitschy. Food was pretty good. Next day breakfast at the Senator and then to the AGO to see the Chagall and the Russian Avant Garde exhibit which was fantastic. Lunch at BeerBistro at King and Yonge..fabulous beer but quite expensive for lunch.
And that's our two days in Toronto...can't wait to come back and stay longer. We would love to visit the Distillery District in the summer. Thanks for all the suggestions.
