Hotels for a morning freshen up

A business colleague and I will be arriving into Toronto at 6am on a red-eye from Vancouver. We would like to book 2 hotel rooms to shower/shave and rest before a meeting in Oakville late morning. Does anybody have any suggestions for a comfortable hotel that offers rooms at reduced rats for just a few morning hours of occupancy (either around the airport or in Oakville)?

many thanks

You dont specify, but if you are arriving at Pearson, the Plaza Premium airport lounge has shower and relaxation facilities.......

we are arriving at Toronoto Pearson at 6am. As far as I can see the lounges that you mention are all for departures and after security, so these would not work for us as we have meetings in Oakville and Mississauga during the day.

Try the Sheraton Gateway hotel connected to Terminal 3......they have sold day passes for $25.00 in the past.....likely still do........

According to this website (yes, there is a website for ANYthing and EVERYthing these days...), shower facilities are available airside in the Plaza Lounge (Term 3) sleepinginairports.net/northamerica/toronto-…

These two web sites may be able to help you:

http://www.dayguest.com/dayuse-ontario

http://www.between9and5.com

Also consider asking the people you are visiting if they are aware of anything like that in their area. Even try a couple of the hotels your company normally uses. They might be flexible.

If you are flying in from Vancouver, BC, you will arrive into the "departures" area. That is, you'll walk out from the gate into the same airside part of the terminal where people wait for outgoing domestic flights. As a result, you should have no trouble walking over to the Plaza Premium lounge... just make sure you don't follow the signs to exit through security to baggage claim.

If you were flying in on an international flight, you'd be on a separate arrivals path that heads to customs/immigration and doesn't allow lounge access.

Hotel-wise, the Sheraton Gateway at Terminal 3 is most convenient, with the ALT Hotel Toronto-Pearson a close second.

I would suggest the new Alt Hotel which was also mentioned above. The rates are quite reasonable and it will be a very nice environment to freshen up and rest before heading to your meeting. If you want to see a little more of the hotel here is a link.
