Toronto Sheraton Gateway Hotel

Travelling with a 2 yr old this winter. We are looking at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel to avoid doing an extremely early a.m. shuttle into airport.

Is the hotel connected directly to the airport (ie - can we just walk over)? If yes, is this a covered walkway (tunnel or hallway)?

Hi OttSud;

From the hotel's site...

"Our climate controlled walkway connects you to Terminal 3, with access to Terminal 1 just a short distance away."

We stayed there a few weeks back. It's awesome to not have to leave and wait for shuttles. Recommended!

If you are going to Terminal 1 you can access the Link train from the hotel lobby.

Yes, and either way (walkway to Terminal 3, LINK train to Terminal 1) you can get from the Sheraton to the airport terminal building without ever going outside.

If you want something a little cheaper, the ALT Hotel is at another stop on the LINK train system -- but there's a short outdoor walk (50 metres?) between the hotel's front door and the Viscount LINK train station.
