What is the best way to get home, easier from Toronto international, need about a 6pm flight? Trying to go non-stop!
I assume you are flying into the Island airport YTZ (Billy Bishop) on Porter - perhaps because the flight is less expensive? But you must realize that YTZ is right in downtown Toronto and Pearson is located in suburban Toronto - about 30 minutes away from the downtown core. Depending on when you arrive at YTZ, and on what day (weekday vs weekend) you could encounter Toronto's rush hour which would make the trip to Pearson closer to an hour or so.... assuming you are not staying in Toronto for any time before you go home And you will have to figure out how you are going to get to Pearson from YTZ. If this is just a matter of catching a connecting flight to vancouver, you would be better to fly direct to Toronto from Ottawa via YYZ (on AC or Westjet) and then onwards to Vancouver on one or the other airlines, both of which have numerous non-stop flights to Vancouver.Edited: 04 January 2014, 14:51
Depending on the day you will need all of an hour to go from Billy Bishop to Pearson during rush hour, I'd bank an hour and a half minimum to be on the safe side....
yeah ... like I said.
I really hope the OP is actually spending some time in Toronto, and just hasn't explained that part to us.
When flying from Ottawa to Vancouver, the best, cheapest, and most reliable way is to book a single ticket from Ottawa to Vancouver. Flying partway to Toronto and changing airlines and airports wouldn't make any sense.
