Toronto FC/Blue Jays

Will be in Toronto 2-8th June and wouldn't mind taking in a football (soccer) or a baseball game.

Are tickets easy to obtain or would I be better buying them beforehand.

No problem for the Blue jays, but for the FC there has been a bit of a run of their tickets since signing Jermaine Defoe.... The weekend series with the Cardinals will be busier than normal, so if you want a specific price range, you may want to buy early, but there will be plenty of scalper tickets available....

You can walk-up the day of and purchase tickets for the Blue Jays . There are two areas to purchase tickets outside of Gate 7 & 9 at the Rogers Centre. If you want to go to the game on June 8th make sure to get there at least two hours before the game starts. Line-ups will be quite long as this is a give away day (Jose Reyes bobblehead). Only the first 20,000 fans to enter the stadium will get the give away. If you decide to purchase tickets for the Jays online make sure to purchase from the official site : …mlb.com/ticketing/singlegame.jsp…

Sorry for the rookie questions, how long typically would a MLB game last?

Thinking about game against Cardinals on Sat 7th June @ 1pm.

Typically 3 hrs for Blue Jays. TFC tickets are a hot item this season and you may want to buy them ahead of time.

Thanks

The football doesn't kick off till 4pm I think so that would be cutting it a bit fine for our evening plans.

Never been to a baseball game so quite fancy that . Rogers Centre looks walkable from our hotel (Westin Harbour).

Would field level base tickets at $44 be a decent enough view?

Yes, Rogers Centre is a short walk from the Westin (about 20 minutes).

Any field level seat will be fine, but you for another $10 you can get better seats. If you buy tickets through the official Blue Jays website you can see where the seats are located on a seating map.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll probably just rock up on the day and leave Mrs PR to some retail therapy.

$44 seats are pretty IMO...
