Hi notsure2014;

The answer is - it depends.

Where are you flying in from and where are you flying out to ?

What time does your flight arrive, and what time does your connecting flight, depart ?

Best Regards

This is why I have to ask before I book, won't book it if he can't have a smoke(wouldn't be pretty). Am looking into Bahamas, Nassau. We would be flying in from Edmonton. Looks like it would be about a 3 hr layover.

If you go the Pearson website FAQ section, the following statement is found:

"Toronto Pearson is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is however permitted outside the terminal buildings in designated areas."

I can't think of any reason why he couldn't go out .... he will however have to have his boarding passes, ID, etc, to go back through security. Also - be sure that you are not changing terminals for your onward flight .... that might cut into your available time ... (although it might give him the opportunity to smoke...). Pearson is a much larger airport than YEG.
