Firstly, I would like to thank the strangers who helped and gave advice for nothing. From the lady in Kipling Station to the lady outside Younge/BLR station. The rooftop bar staff at our hotel and numerous folk we were able to stop and ask directions, what this and that place was good to go to see , eat and drink in. THANKS. All very friendly
The Beverley - at Beverley and Queens junction. 335 on Queens.
Small rooms, good standard, can get a little noisy. Reception on 2nd floor. Time to think and relax when using the lift as it is so slow. Rooftop bar for drinks and food was good. Never used restaurant as evening menu did not suit us. We would give the hotel 3.5/5. Our room was a standard and had no window.
Apart from fast food in the eaton centre at the swechwan (dodgy spelling) & an Indian unit which were both good we ate in Milestones in John St that was nice. The best meal was in The Aroma at 287 King St. / St John St. Upstairs. Just really good hot tasty food and service with no rush to vacate the table.
Pre booked tours
We had booked a Niagra tour thought BG tours Canada. Picked up at hotel on time and very well looked after by Bernard. We thought it was good value for the price.
CN Tower - my wife done the basic and enjoyed it.
Toronto Island - We went to centre Island walked to the beach, hired a quad peddle bike and done the island. Nice day trip and a good place for smaller kids to go to.
The underground is quite easy to find your way through. We walked a lot and felt safe and secure. Take usual precautions as for any city and tourist place.
All in we had a great short trip. Done for the Buble concert which was professional and worth it also a good arena in the Air Canada Centre.
Would have liked to take a Jays game but couldn't fit in.
Hope this helps folk and is also a wee thanks to the Toronto people and Forum posters that we got some great info from.
