camping trip to pei with an autistic child

hello we are planning a family camping trip to PEI with a 31 ft RV, this is our very first time in PEI it will be 4 adults and 2 children my 8 year old granddaughter is autistic and does not like large crowds and noise we are looking for a campground in the green gables area or any ware on that side of the island that would provide shade and a bit of privacy, any help would be appreciated, thank you so very much

Definitely have a look at Sunset Campground. Perfect location right beside the Cavendish Boardwalk and right accross the road from an entrance to Cavendish beach. Lots of dining options very close by and a seasonal grocery store down the road. Perhaps most relevant to you is the fact that the campgrounds offers lots of privacy. Big lots with trees for privacy. Never found it crowded. However, be sure not to get a site in the open fields as it will be more crowded, still not terrible though. Go to their website and have a look at the campground map to get an idea of location to request. cavendishsunsetcampground.com/campsites/#.U2…

One more thing. When are you visiting? There's a huge country music concert taking place July 4th-6th so the entire area will be swarmed during those dates.

P.S. My cousin is autistic so I understand how tough it can be for the little lady. Wishing you and your family a great vacation.
