Dear Canada fans,
Our family of 4 (boys aged 14 and 11) would like to spend 13 days of our Canada vacation in Quebec. Our main focus is natural beauty and dramatic scenery. The boys fancy having a swim, too. We would like to visit the Gaspé peninsula and would like to include 2 other Quebec parks in our trip to break the distance from and to Toronto. The last park should be in driving distance to Toronto.
Whale-watching at Tadoussac is not at our list, since we were lucky to see several whales during our trip to West Canada.
Does anyone have tips as to which parks to visit and especially which places to plan overnight stops for how many days? Are there any nice hotels or B&B's you could recommend for a family (medium budget)?
For Gaspé, we thought about visiting the park BIC, Gaspé National Park, Park Forillon, Percé and Bonaventura, but we are unsure how much time we' ll need for the various regions.
Our first ideas are as follows:
(First days Niagara region, than 1000 Island tour at Guananoque and drive to Parc de la Mauricie)
day 1 Parc de la Mauricie
day 2 Parc de la Mauricie, drive to Quebec
day 3 Quebec
day 4 drive to Gaspé peninsula
day 5 -11 Gaspé Pensinsula (where to stay?, which route to take?)
day 12 drive to St Jacques Cartier (or other park)
day 13 St Jacques Cartier
day 14-16 drive to and stay in Toronto
We are really looking forward to your tips. Thanks in advance!
