Shopping specific video recorder in Montreal

Hello everybody!

I was wondering if anybody here knows where can I buy a digital recorder in Montreal on December 26. The name of recorder is ZOOM Q3 and it is usually found on musical instrument stores. I have an itinerary to follow, so if there is a store near Eaton Centre... I would be very glad!

I searched on Best Buy, La Source and Future Shop websites and I haven't found it!

Thank you!

Well, Steve's music on Saint-Antoine just east of Saint-Laurent (so close to the Place d'Armes métro stop) have it:

The other music store downtown is Archambault at Berri and Sainte-Catherine by the Berri-UQAM métro, but I don't know if they have it.

Yes, Steve's music has it listed at 230$. Archambault and Italmelodie are other big music stores.

My advice: give them a call to make sure they have them in stock, before you go running all around town.

Hey guys! Any other options?

Now I am looking for the ZOOM Q3HD which is a new product with higher video quality. Those stores have the ZOOM Q3 (not HD).

Any other stores? Anybody here knows about online music stores in Canada? I'm thinking of buying this recorder online and ask them to ship to my hotel!

One last question... I know some stores in USA that have the product and ship to Canada. How does it work in Canada? Will be the product be detained on customs? Is it too risky?

Err we're more of a travel website. At this point, you could just use google rather then ask us to do that for you.

Call both the stores mentioned, or call the manufacturer and ask who stocks it in Montreal.

Some companies will handle duty and taxes for you and ship direct. Others will ship and you will have to pay duty and taxes when it arrives. Yes, that delays it a day or two.

Canadian stores may not stock items as quickly as the US. Some models aren't available in Canada. Be aware that some hotels will charge you to receive packages as well.

PS: Vistek carries it. Also, do a search for "Zoom Q3HD" on Google.ca and then on the left hand side, choose "Only Pages from Canada"
