Montreal Canadiens vs Ducks

Is there anywhere you can get cheaper last minute tickets for this game on 24 October? Visiting from Australia in Montreal this night and would love to experience but need to stay within budget ! Don't really want to spend $100pp.

Well hockey in Montréal is almost a religion and every match almost fully booked. No last hour discounted tickets but scalpers in front of the Bell Center to sell you tickets at double the price or more.

Also be aware of the big scams on the Internet. Looking for discounts or even full prices outside of the official sellers usually means that the same ticket, same seat, is sold more than once so the first one to arrive will have access with the bar code but then later arrivals will be nixed.

It would be a completely different ballgame if you would try to get discounts in the Ducks home turf as it is not a hockey city at all.

If you don't want to spend more than $100 per ticket I'm afraid you'll be watching this game at a bar.

Didn't you friendly neighbourhood innkeeper already answer this and tell you to get tickets in the nosebleeds? The Ducks are not a premium ticket, so $61 for the Grey and $44 for the Blues, up there, next to Alanis Morisette and G-d. Whites are up to $95, still not bad for a once in a lifetime ticket purchase.

There are certain things in life that can only be experienced THERE and THEN and the experience of being at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The tickets go on sale.... Saturday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. Purchases via Internet only. Fans will be able to register in the virtual waiting room as of 9:30 a.m. The on-sale will begin at 10:00 a.m., fans will be randomly selected. Purchase limit: maximum of 4 tickets per person for a maximum of 1 order.

Thanks for all the advice, can you tell me the website that I have to get onto on the 7 Sept, after working out the time difference from Australia, I will be online awaiting. So the sites that say they have tickets now are incorrect as the tickets have not been released yet ?

canadiens.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=56576 for tickets.

The answer is sort-of. Tickets to single games are released last. Tickets for seasons pass holders and for people buying mini-seasons are available already. But single games aren't. In fact the 5 to 10 game packs went on sale yesterday.

It's worth the money to go and if it is not a highly sought after game, like the Ducks, you can actually Payless from the scalpers...

if you dont get tix, go to the game and get scalped ones. once the game starts, scalpers will sell their tix for anything they can get, so if you're willing to miss 5 min of the game you might be able to get cheap tickets (though missing the introduction sucks since it's pretty spine tingling)
