wine carafe

Does anyone know where I can by a small 2-3 deciliter wine carafe sometimes seen in wine bars and restaurants? I like looking at the color of the wine when serving it at home and this is a fun way to do that.

They have them at A. Simone in Paris, a cooking store. Maybe there is something like that in Montreal.

Oh god yes! I've bought some basic carafe's in Montreal, though remebering the names of the stores escapes me. I know there is a cooking utensil, plate store etc in the Palace de Gare, the little shopping area in Gare Centrale, the train station below the Queen Elizabeth. It is right next to the SAQ store.

There is also a great store in a mall right next to Eaton Centre, where I've bought a number of items, including wine glasses.

There was a terrific wine accessory shop in Old Montreal, across from the Bonsecours market that closed a few years ago. If it moved I wish I knew where it went. It had some great tiles with wine labels on them that I collected.

I believe the store JDP refers to is Linen Chest, in the Promenades Cathedral.

@phpr: I know which store JDP refers to and it is in Cantral Station, front of a Premiere Moisson Bakery.... It is similar to Stokes.... (Kitchenware, glassware, etc)

For high end (well, and medium, too), http://vinumdesign.com/en/store/decanters/ which specializes in wine things and is located a block east and north of the Bay downtown on a small side-street :)

If you're willing to travel, https://www.auxplaisirsdebacchus.com in Outremont is fantastic

And for cooking stores: although they only have a few carafes in their Table Plus section, Arthur Quintin is a lovely kitchen shop on Saint-Denis and they have a neat virtual visit at hdmedia.fr/visite-virtuelle/hd/cbpwfpHuh-art… similarly, but less well done with no carafes alas but it's a great cooking store: http://www.lestouilleurs.com/Boutique

Stokes is the place I was thinking of in Place Montreal Trust. Very good selection.

Now the place Tristou mentioned I have to look for the next time we visit.

Was Vinum pthe place that was located in Old Montreal? That place looks great and reminds me of that Old Montreal store. Thanks for the question and thanks for the suggestion Tristou.

Tristou, I was able to get on the website with the link you provided. Thank you so very much. I have not been able to find the wine label tiles anywhere else and we have a very nice collection on one of our walls.Perfect and thanks again!!
