Map

I am looking to obtain a really good walking map of the Old City. Would like to buy it BEFORE we arrive so I can use it in planning.

The perfect map would be like the "STREETWISE" series -- laminated, strong paper, fits in a pocket.

Many thanks

I know Frommers, the guide book, has a map in the back of their book. It is just slightly bigger than pocket size. They also have several suggested walking routes which are also very good.

The beauty of Quebec City is that it is easily walkable and very easy to navigate, with or without a map.

Enjoy!!

Hi CanadaRockiesNut

You may order 2 brochures from the Québec City Tourist Office - "Tourist Guide" and "Québec At a Glance" (the latter includes a city map) here: quebecregion.com/en/… just click on "Order these documents". They are free of charge.

To assist you in your planning, here is a link to 11 walking itineraries, each of them pinned on a map of the Old Town/surroundings http://tinyurl.com/24qtfq7

...and links to 2 Frommer's Walking Tours http://tinyurl.com/84gttq and http://tinyurl.com/5vyp4d

...and a link to must-see attractions, pinned on a zoomable map http://tinyurl.com/28zt5eu

...and a link to a request of travel literature www.quebecregion.com/en/documentation?a=vis

Hope this helps

Edit: and of course you might find the city map from this site useful http://www.tripadvisor.com/LocalMaps-g155033-Quebec_City-Area.html#02,1289538075586,mc:S46.833633|-71.253944,mz:-12,nameContains:S,sa:-1,map:-1,cb:Anear_1|near_3|near_4|near_5
