Flash mob in Old Québec, Lower Town : )

For those of you who may wonder, 'What the locals do when the tourist season is over?' ... I thought I'd share this :

The previous flash mob (Montreal) can be seen in this thread :

Thank you. what a great way to start my day, just a couple of weeks before we head to QC for a short vacation. I LOVE trad fiddle music and while it may be a bit different from what I play, it sure is wonderful to listen to!

Wow, these people are absolutely wonderful! I am so happy they are keeping at it.

Can you imagine something like this erupting around you? The people there will remember this whenever they think of Quebec. Not to mention the true goal: not to lose our roots. This really distinguishes Quebec from any other town and keeps our identity.

Thanks Eirelover for sharing!

Yes thanks Eirelover

And this link might even have an educational function when I try to explain the unique topography to visitors to Qc and it is not visible on maps and they don't catch it. Here we wee all the funicular, the Chateau Frontenac looming over, the breakneck stairs and the gentle slope from Petit-Champlain to the river!

education trough entertainment!

Oh noooo! I will try to find the cause, and hope it is a temporary problem.

Bizarre -- I found that the cities of Bordeaux and Liverpool were inspired to do the very same kind of action, and their videos have had the same fate. ????

ok the video is back online. Corrections were brought to the level of compression of the images, which was apparently too high in the 1st place (making faces appear quite wider than they should have).

Here is the new link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_EC71XD3q8

Glad that it is back. Eirelover gave you the link to the previous event but trough Tripadvisor, directly it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni3x-uwAumo

This prevoious one is even better because it is in the middle of Mont Royal ave during a sidewalk sale and there are musicians on galleries, stairs, etc all aroung. Absolutely delightful!
