Which hotel is a more central location to tours & attraction

We are looking at either the "Maison du Fort " or the "Hotel Manoir Victoria".

We are not familiar with Quebec city so I just wanted to get some thoughts on which is closer as in walking out the door and being near restaurants and shops and attractions.

Thanks

They are both located in Upper Town Intramuros. Since Upper Town is an uneven plateau then Maison du Fort is located a bit highe,r near the Citadel which is at the uppermots level. That doesn't mean a lot except when you want to take the funicular on Terrasse Dufferin, you will be a bit closer and a with a bit less slope at Maison du Fort.

Both very well located for just about anything you could want to do. The Manoir is closer to the main shopping street if Rue St Jean.

If it matters to you, Maison du Fort is located very near the city's landmark, Château Frontenac, hence close to everything, but on a quiet and secluded charming little street. You feel like you are in Europe there. Hotel Victoria is in a busier area.

Maison du Fort is more like a B&B but only coffee and muffins for breakfast but as Eirelover wrote in a charming little street.

Manoir Victoria no included breakfast and a nice old type hotel.

In that area could also consider : le Clarendon old style hotel very central area more or less similar to Manoir Victoria with no breakfast included but in the center of it all.

Auberge Place d'Armes at the corner of du Trésor and Ste-Anne very unique location and perfect location

Hotel Jardin Ste-Anne a little 2 stars no breakfast but also a perfect location

Just one more hotel into the mix.

Any thoughts about the "Hotel Du Vieux Quebec" ? I think it is in that same area.

Thanks

Similar but a little bit more modern than Manoir Victoria, breakfast in a basket no pool.Forgot : the best breakfast of all would be Auberge Place d'Armes served in their restaurant and cook to the order and included in the price.

Yup I am on the Place d'armes badwagon too. Check out the hotel Le Champlain as well, it also has an included breakfast.

Now my turn to ask a question : what are your criteria when you are looking for an hotel in Quebec?

We are just looking for close range, clean hotel and good food! (I like your breakfast reference!)
