Is it possible to buy a day or weekly pass for the funicular? I have seen this stated on a couple of sites but cannot locate specific details (e.g., cost or where to buy).

Nope. You must pay for its use every time.

It's worth the money as the walk is steep and slippery if it's raining or snowing.

Thanks for the info. It will absolutely worthwhile for me even in dry sunny weather as I have a two year old!

At least you will not need to pay for your child - at 2 years old, it is free.
