Driving from Quebec City to Portland,Me

We are traveling from QC to see Portland. I assume one takes 201. Are there any sights to stop at along the route. If we stay on the Canadian side any good places to stop or things to see in the general area?

201 is very pretty but can be very slow, especially if you get behind a logging truck. There is also the issue of moose, nice to see from a distance but not on the hood of you car.

You could take the long way and head over through New Hampshire and the White Mountains. The Cangamangus Trail (Possible sic) is very beautiful But the trip along Route 20 in Canada, and then south along 55 to the border is dull. You could go slightly beyond that and stay a night in the Eastern Townships, a very pretty area, before heading south to New Hampshire the next day.
