Early October

I am in Montreal and Quebec City for a few days with a cousin from overseas. I was wondering if I took him to Tadoussac for 1 day, what is the probability of seeing some whales? We would be there Wednesday October 2.

Many thanks.

1. Re: Early October

I just checked a bit and Croisièeres AML is doing cruises until October 28 and Croisières Dufour doesn't give any closing dates so I assume that there will be cruises for Oct but will be worth it? Well most of the whales will have departed then except for the endemic belugas and a few lone players from other species.

So I am not 100 % sure if it will be worth it butI would suggest that if you decide to go anyways you select a large boat and not a zodiac because it could be very cold on the river at this time of the year.
